This has certainly been a cold week but our training has continued. On Tuesday night, we completed our first hill workout in Central Park - we did 4 repeats up "Cat Hill" and then recovered on the way down. We began with a 1.7 mile warm up. Running up that hill brings new meaning to the expression "sucking wind"!! It was definitely taxing!

On Saturday, Erica and I completed a our "long run" of 8 miles. We opted to do it together but not with the group since the group met at 8 am and we could meet at 12 noon! Since it was only 1 degree with wind chill, we thought those few hours of sunshine would help to warm things up! Not sure that it did but a few extra hours of sleep never hurts!

Fundraising is also continuing - I have mailed my letters and our fundraising Happy Hour is this Thursday - I am looking forward to getting together with friends! I received my first contributions this weekend from the members of Book Club at our monthly meeting - I really appreciate their support!
